Icon,
I left for work on my 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa one early spring morning. Just as I crested the top of the hill leaving my house…BOOM! A deer came running off the hillside from my right and blindsided me. The deer hit me so hard it changed the direction of my bike and sent me, and my bike, down a steep wooded hill. After hitting several trees and rocks, the bike finally hit a tree stump and stopped sliding.
My bike was totaled. I was bloody and bruised but amazingly enough I was able to walk away thanks to my Icon gear. My Mainframe Saint and Sinner Helmet got pretty scratched up, and my Skull Jacket was covered in mud but didn’t have one rip or tear.
I have since replaced my Hayabusa and all of my gear with the only thing I feel safe wearing….ICON.
Thanks,
Ray N.

Deers are the worst! Looks like you got it bad too, glad you walked away from it.
This happen to my friend at night once going 80mph and he ended up splitting the deer in half and his bike skidded like 80 yards and he went right pass his bike. Scariest stuff
Riding off into trees – that’s gnarly stuff. Good to hear that you walked away from that, could have been much much worse!
wow … I live in VA and Deer are all over the place…nice you walked away
that’s crazy scary, especially splitting the deer in half. glad u walked away from it….a hell of a lot worse than my lil flipping over the front of my ole Tiller at around 30mph when the engine locked up on me….
Yeah, no off-roading with a ‘busa.
Glad you were able to walk away from that, and good on you for getting back in the saddle.
you guys are too kind. thanks for the well wishes. Thanks to icon for saving my ass. Hopefully I won’t be posting anymore busted and broken stories.
Stupid deer, no matter how much you try to avoid them their so unpredictable, they are hard to avoid..
